Mojo Nixon bought DJ Khaleroo his first beer ever at Zorba the Greeks in Winnipeg. I must have been 17 and I do remember that. He’s a cool cat and remains that way.
Considering that his commentary could be about today, it’s pretty relevant to 2019.
We move on to 10,000 Maniacs which actually was 1986 in Winnipeg! A concert, Mary, Khal, John, Bruce and Sandra attended.
I highly recommend checking out the A Flock Of Seagulls – Space Age Love Song (With the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra)
The rest of the tunes on the first episode are list above, and we talked about Jonathan Jackson Garwood who lost his battle with his demons. Rest well, Jonathan (St. Paul’s High School class of ’84 ) was known to many, including DJ Khaleroo, Brian, and a lot of the Winnipeg 80s fans as he was at all the events.
